About Me
My Story
I'm a dental hygiene student at Pueblo Community College set to graduate in May of 2027. For years I've been in the dental field and I'm now learning more in depth information about the periodontium and the effects it has on our overall health and how certain life and body changes like menopause can influence our gum health.
As a student, I'm learning about periodontitis and about the connection our oral health has to our bodies and how changes in our bodies can benefit or harm gum health. I'm aiming to provide insightful resources for the public on the connection between menopause and periodontitis.
Researching menopause and periodontitis is of personal interest to me because of the women in my life and how the changes they are experiencing during menopause can influence changes in their oral health and to better understand the connection so I may provide proven research for my future patients. My passion for dental hygiene and education drive my desire to make sure all women are well informed about their bodies and the effects on every aspect of their health.
